How to Care for Your Incense Bracelet So the Scent Lasts for Years
Share
A high-quality incense bracelet can release fragrance for months or even years â if you care for it correctly. Here is how to keep your natural incense beads in perfect condition.
1. Keep it dry
Water is the enemy of incense beads. Remove your bracelet before showering, swimming, washing hands or heavy exercise. Moisture can dull the scent and weaken the beads.
2. Avoid perfume and chemicals
Spray perfume on your skin, not on the bracelet. Harsh chemicals and alcohol can damage natural incense beads and interfere with their fragrance.
3. Store it sealed
When you are not wearing the bracelet, keep it in the pouch or box it came with. A sealed container slows scent loss and protects the beads from dust and light.
4. Let body heat do the work
The scent releases through warmth. Wear the bracelet against your skin for a few minutes and you will notice the fragrance returning. Do not be alarmed if the scent seems faint when stored â it comes back with wear.
5. Clean gently
If the beads become dusty, wipe them with a soft dry cloth. Never soak or scrub them.
6. Rotate your bracelets
If you own several incense bracelets, rotate them so each one gets time to breathe and release scent. This also extends the life of every piece.
